The Ministry of Health Zanzibar has received the support of various equipment from the Africa Relief and Community Development Institute from the United States and other institutions worth more than two hundred thousand dollars.
Receiving the aid, Minister Health Zanzibar Nassor Ahmed Mazrui said the equipment is to help hospitalized patients, surgical equipment, laboratory equipment and medicine.
He said that the aid will help support the Government’s efforts through the Ministry of Health to strengthen services in hospitals and health centers.
He thanked for the help that has been provided by different institutions and will ensure that it reaches the beneficiaries and is used as intended and asked them to continue their aid to Zanzibar so that the services are of higher quality.
On the other hand, a representative from the Tamam Society Institute, Nassor Abdalla Rashid, said that they have collaborated with the Africa Relief and Community Development Institute in the United States to support the equipment here in the country.
He said that the equipment is the beginning of helping in this country and they will make sure that they are looking for more aid with the aim of strengthening health services in this country.
