The Ministry of Health Zanzibar has given a ventilator known as Portable Oxygen to Bi Zahra Waziri Saidi

The Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar through the Zanzibar Medicines Center (CMC) has given a breathing device known as portable oxygen to Zahra Waziri Saidi who is suffering from paralysis.

Handing over the device, Zanzibar’s deputy minister of health, Hassan Khamis Hafidh, said that they found information about the need for the device through social media and saw that there was a need to help Zahra due to the importance of her need.

He said that Zahra was previously provided with a device from the main drug depot that uses electricity when he uses it, however, the device is only used when he is at home and he cannot walk with it.

The deputy minister has asked Zahra’s family to take care of the device so that it can last and help her during this period of illness that is bothering her and promised that the Government is with her in helping her with her illness.

For his part, the director general of the main drug depot Abdulhalim Mzale said that the device will be a savior for Zahra when she wants to go from one place to another.

He has informed that the machine has a great ability to help him and during the period when there is a power outage problem as the device can stay charged for more than 6 hours.

On the part of Zahra’s family, they have thanked the government for the support and asked the government to continue to help her with treatment in this difficult time of the disease that is bothering her.

The paralyzing disease known professionally as multiple sclerosis that attacks the central nervous system has no cure despite the fact that doctors are still researching it in the world to determine the cause of this disease.
