The American Government in collaboration with the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar through the Ministry of Health intends to strengthen health services especially in the areas of hepatitis, AIDS and outbreak disease.
Minister Health Zanzibar Nassor Ahmed Mazrui has said that the strengthening of the projects will help to establish a new contract program that will work between the CDC of the United States and the Ministry of Health and will start with AIDS and infectious diseases.
He has informed that the agreement will have various aspects to strengthen health services in this country including the whole system issues together with eliminating outbreak diseases, infectious diseases and the project will be for five years in its implementation.
In addition, he said that for two months from now, the Ministry of Health is preparing a team to implement a seven-month program that will make plans for the program that will be implemented over the next five years and the people of Zanzibar will be able to benefit from it.
on the part of the delegation, they have said that the new project that will be invested in this country has the intention of preventing various diseases, including outbreaks, and it will be done with great cooperation between the CDC and Zanzibar.
