The Deputy Minister of Health Zanzibar had a Special visit to the District Hospitals

The Ministry o Health Zanzibar has said that the District Hospitals will be put into operation and will greatly help to reduce the challenge of access to services for the people of the islands of Unguja and Pemba.

This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Health Zanzibar Hassan Khamis Hafidh during a special visit to inspect the installation of equipment in District hospitals that are expected to start working at the beginning of September this year.

He said that the main goal of building district hospitals in this country is to strengthen the provision of health services by reducing the distance to the citizens and getting quality services.

In addition, he has said that in strengthening the provision of services to the hospitals, the issue of operation and cleanliness has been considered by giving specialized companies that will run and manage the hospitals.

He has mentioned the hospitals that will be used in the September phase are Magogoni District Hospital, Chumbuni, Kivunge on the side of Unguja and Micheweni as well as Vitongoji on the side of Pemba.

For his part, the Medical Director of the Ministry of Health Zanzibar Dr. Msafiri Marijani has informed that the hospitals will provide various services including mother and child, critical patients, emergencies and accidents as well as surgery and asking the public to use the hospitals.

And the head of the northern district ‘A’ Sadifa Juma Khamis has congratulated the Ministry of Health Zanzibar for implementing the manifesto of the Revolutionary Party in parallel actions and asking the citizens to make good use of these blessings.

On the part of the representative of Saife Hospital Dr. Hamid Farid said that they will make sure that they implement the management issue well to be able to provide quality services in this country.
