The Minister of Health Zanzibar congratulated the doctors from Muhimbili Hospital

Minister of Health Zanzibar Nassor Ahmed Mazrui has said that the arrival of doctors from Muhimbili has greatly helped to provide services to the people of Zanzibar with different diseases with great efficiency.

He said that due to the presence of many patients with different diseases in this country, including urinary diseases and other diseases that need to be treated and due to the lack of specialists, doctors from Muhambili have been able to help provide them with surgical treatment.

Minister Mazrui has informed that the great work done by the doctors have been able to save money that would have been used to treat patients in Dar es Sallam Hospitals and abroad.

He said that in order to achieve health services, the government through the Ministry of Health has decided to improve some services, including laboratory services, radiation and plans to strengthen urine services so that when citizens come to get services, they can get them quickly and without any inconvenience.

He congratulated the doctors for coming to provide services here in the country and asked them to continue their plan to come to Zanzibar to provide services regularly so that the people can get these services where the Government has already built District and Regional Hospitals with operating rooms and will enable them to provide services efficiently. the top.

Presenting a report on the camp held on the 2nd to the 7th at Kivunge Hospital, Dr. Ally Bayser, who is a specialist in urinary diseases from Muhimbili, said that they were able to examine 114 people and were able to operate on 108 of them, of which 41 were children and 67 were adults.

He has informed that they were able to perform prostate surgery on 10 patients and perform other surgeries including hernia disease (hania) where he said the majority of those who underwent the surgery were hania diseases.

Dr. Ramadhan Hamisi from Muhimbili University has said that they will continue to provide services here in Zanzibar with the aim of supporting the people of Zanzibar in parallel with providing education to Zanzibar professionals and their students at Muhimbili University.
