Zanzibar Malaria Elimination Programme
The ZAMEP falls under the Directorate of Preventive Services and Health Education within the Ministry of Health Zanzibar (MoH).
The ZAMEP is responsible for the development, implementation monitoring and evaluation of malaria control interventions and coordination of stakeholders at all levels of the health care delivery system.
The ZAMEP is strategically aligned to the National Strategy for Growth and Reduction of Poverty II (Swahili abbreviation MKUZA II), the Zanzibar National Health Policy 2009 and the Health Sector Strategic Plan II 2006/07-2010/11 in order to meet national and international targets.
In that capacity, it responds to priorities in the essential health care package and facilitates its linkages with public and private organizations in quality assurance through health system strengthening (HSS). Read more > ZAMEP
