The Ministry of Health will continue to provide reproductive health services to the youth

The GOVERNMENT, through the Ministry of Health, will continue to provide youth-friendly service centres to support them in accessing reproductive health services nearby and to be able to face the challenges they face.

This statement was made by the Minister of Health Zanzibar Hon.Nassor Ahmed Mazrui in Bumbwisudi when he opened a center to provide reproductive health services to youth and asked young people to use the center to get services.

He said that due to the challenges faced by young people on various reproductive health issues, the Ministry of Health in collaboration with various development partners including UNFPA ensures that it brings services closer to youth so that they can overcome the problems they face.

He informed that in giving great importance to the young people, the Ministry of Health in collaboration with UNFPA and other stakeholders has made various efforts to ensure that they opened many centers in Unguja and Pemba where currently a total of thirteen centers have been opened.

He has asked the youth of Bumbwisudi and the surrounding areas to use the friendly service center to get reproductive health services that are provided with great confidentiality.

On his part, the Resident Director of UNFPA Tanzania Mark Bryan has said that his organization will continue to provide health services, especially reproductive health services to Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar.

He said friendly services for young people and the basic thing because young people can protect themselves from things that lead to damaging their health and asking young people to avoid things that lead to endangering their health.

And the acting Head of the Western District A Hamida Mussa has said that the Bumbwisudi shehia has young people who have interrupted their studies and they have made a procedure to bring them back.

In addition, she informed that in the District there are still a number of young people who have lost the vision of their lives and if they are not aware, they can end their lives where the opening of the center will help them in getting services and guide them in the future of their lives.
