The Ministry of Health Talked to the Norwegian Ambassador who has finished his term in Tanzania and said goodbye to her

The Ministry of Health Zanzibar has said that it will continue cooperation with Norway in strengthening the Health Sector and citizens to get quality services.

This was stated by the Minister of Health Zanzibar Nassor Ahmed Mazrui when he had a conversation with the Norwegian Ambassador to Tanzania Elizabeth Jacobsen who has come to his office to say goodbye to her at the end of her term.

Minister Mazrui has informed that Norway has been able to support the health sector in various fields, including the construction of a hospital for mental patients, the Mnazimmoja Mother and Child Hospital as well as building a practical learning laboratory whose construction will begin soon in Lumumba areas.

He said that through Hookland University in Norway, they will build a Cardiology Hospital that will enable them to provide services for these diseases here in the country, where he explained to the Ambassador that currently these services are available in Mainland Tanzania and abroad.

In addition, he has praised the great efforts made by Norway in strengthening the Health sector and asked him to continue their aid and the existing relationship between these countries.

For her part, the Norwegian Ambassador in Tanzania, Elizabeth Jacobsen, has said that they will continue their cooperation with Zanzibar in helping various sectors, including Health.
She said she will ensure that the Norwegian Government continues to implement their aid to Zanzibar in improving health services and training for its employees.
