The Minister of Health Zanzibar Nassor Ahmed Mazrui has encouraged the Development stakeholders to continue to cooperate with the Ministry of Health in providing aid that will increase operational efficiency

Stakeholders and development partners have been encouraged to continue collaborating with the Ministry of Health Zanzibar in providing aid that will increase the efficiency of the sector and achieve the government’s goals of providing expert health services to the community.

This was stated by the Minister of Health of Zanzibar Nassor Ahmed Mazrui while receiving drug support from the Global Life Sharing organization in collaboration with the Noah Institute from South Korea at the agency of the main drug depot in Maruhubi.

He said that the Ministry of Health has the responsibility to ensure that it protects the health of the people and provides them with good treatment as well as preventing diseases that enter the country, so the presence of organizations that provide such important aid will help achieve these goals.

He said that the availability of these medicines is a continuation of the partnership agreement between the Ministry of Health and the Noah Institute to provide them with aid including training, medicine as well as connecting them with the existing development organizations in South Korea that have made a great contribution to the health sector in the country.

In addition, Minister Mazrui has assured the institute that the drugs provided are reaching the health centers and hospitals that are needed in parallel with ending the existing problem of the lack of some important drugs needed by the people.

The Director General of the Zanzibar Central Drug Depot Agency, Abdulhalim Muhammed Mzale, said that the aim of the aid is to reach the people, so they are currently looking at the needs of health centers in Unguja and Pemba with the aim of distributing the drugs.

He said that the aid involved medicines needed in the country, including medicines for pain, asthma and other diseases that continue to trouble many people here in Zanzibar.

The head of the Noah Institute Mama Park along with the representative of the Global Life Sharing organization from South Korea Mr. Kim have said that their hope is that the support will ensure the availability of appropriate medical equipment in the hospital and strengthen the health services provided in the hospital.

The aid given has cost one million and five hundred thousand US dollars equal to four billion and two points in Tanzanian currency.
